Baked Sweet Potato Fries
These baked sweet potato fries are perfect served on their own as a party snack. Feel free to try them out as the perfect vegetable side with grilled chicken or homemade burgers!
Preparation Time: Approximately 40 minutes
Yield: Serves 2 snack size servings or 4 vegetable size servings
Ingredients
| To Prepare the Fries | |
| 2 large | Sweet Potatoes- washed, scrubbed & peeled; cut into “fries” (1/4′-1/2′ wide) |
| 2 Tbsp | Roasted Garlic Olive Oil |
| 2 tsp | Moroccan Spice Blend |
| To Taste | Pepper- black, freshly ground |
| To Taste | Salt- preferably fleur de sel |
| To Prepare Our Cajunaisse Dipping Sauce | |
| 1/2 Cup | Cajun Spice Sauce |
| 1/2 Cup | Mayonnaise |
Instructions
Prepare Baked Sweet Potato Fries
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
- Place the freshly cut fries in a mixing bowl. Toss the Moroccan Spice Blend, salt and pepper into the fries. Add the Roasted Garlic Olive Oil and toss evenly.
- Transfer the fries to a large baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Spread the potatoes in a single layer. Try not to overcrowd or have multiple layers of fries — you want them to roast, not steam. Bake for 30 minutes, turning once. They are done when they are golden and cooked through. Serve immediately! Accompany with aioli, ketchup or Cajunaisse.
Prepare Cajunaisse Sauce
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Cajun Spice Sauce and Mayonnaise.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
